    welcome to the hole

Once upon a time, I kept a LiveJournal account, gryphons_hole, a deep, dark, comfy little hole in my brain where I kept notes on my life and queerness.

This is the archive to that account, mostly password protected, adult, queer content, stripped of photo content after the site restructured its photo hosting feature. I hope to restore that content as well.

If I know you, ask for the password. If I don’t, hope for a generous mood.

08.18.24 I have realized a need to continue in this space. A kink reawaking if you will, with content that may range into inappropriate for my other blog spaces.

  • I’m off!

See you in Denver in a few!

    *smooch*

  • pushing daisies

I hate that Pushing Daisies was cancelled.

I love that they had an opportunity to wrap up their story.

I hate that this world promotes hacks with no story to tell, shoving the storytellers aside for budget concerns. It saddens me that quality gets cut for quantity…

That said, the ending, if a little rushed, was still delightful. That they tied the wrap-up back into their method of ticking off the world in increments of time only proves to me that the show was the real deal.

I hate that it is gone so quickly.

  • yay!

Busy season is done. Third shift is done. The transition from third shift to second involves a naturally occurring three day weekend…

    Yay!

Add to that: Kuma is in town! Yay! He is currently picking up Mama Kuma from the KCMO airport. They planned a weekend get-together in KCMO for catching and shopping. The shopping will commence soon enough!

I am off to the Pi for Mango JetTea smoothies and to meet up with the two of them before heading out to Cargo Largo…

  • glorious, glorious day!

This is day thirty-five without a day off…

And it ends here; I have the next two days off. I return to work Sunday evening and have one more week of third shift, although I am not wholly sure if I am going back to second shift or moving to first… Eh.

All that said… this is First Friday! Yay!

Pi, Slap-n-Tickle, the Late Show, for certain. I spoke to Apryl over at the Slap-n-Tickle… She is featuring a photographer from New York, Keren Moscovitch. Apryl has been talking this up for some time with me, I am excited to see the show… The artist is here this weekend…

Also, bulesque and other campy, queer, seedy things as is now expected from the Slap-n-Tickle.
And the weather has cooled enough to give a chance to wear something fancy…

And. I. Have. The. Weekend. Off!

    Yay!

  • eventually… everything catches up

A storm moved in this morning, breaking the warm weather which had been adding to my lack of sleep. Working is now standing at thirty-one days without a day off. I finally had a day without any appointments or errands or chores that demanded attention. I fell to sleep immediately after hitting the pillow somewhere close to nine thirty this morning. I awoke a couple times for an instant and decided to stay in bed. I finally awoke for good a half hour ago. Close to eleven hours sleep; the first time for more than six hours in weeks. I most definitely needed that.

I hear rumors that I may get a real, full weekend this week. Two stipulations must be met as I understand it. I also understand that this can always change, but chances are better than not it will happen. There are only three people remaining that have had no break; four if one does not count most of a day off. That fourth person is the daytime coordinator, the remaining three are all on third shift. It comes down to this: I am the only operator for my machine on third shift. If I am not there, it will not be running.

    *sigh*

Almost there. In another couple of weeks, the season will be through and third shift will be dissolved until next year.

I am still exhausted. The problem with being this tired? I fall to sleep however I land, meaning that my body is right now very sore and stiff…

    Ugh…
