Last night was my beloved Apryl’s solo show over at her own Slap-n-Tickle. The show’s title…? Doll Bones. Some brilliant stuff. I had previously seen only a glimpes of the show’s feel and decided to be the goofy designer/art-fag that I am and dress to match… I had picked up some animal rib bones last month at the local renfest. I brought them out with a pseudo My Fair Lady attire… Or perhaps a twisted tribute to Colonel Sanders. It is difficult to say…
White and grey raw silk jacket, black-n-white linen vest, black-n-white silk fleur-de-lis tie, black-n-white silk scarf, black-n-white silk pocket square…. You get the idea. Not shown: grey herringbone trousers, black-n-white geometric dress socks, and the lovely naked lady sock garters…
Oh, yeah…! And some various kind of animal bones in my face. LOL I picked them up for almost nothing at the local renfest last month. They worked out brilliantly, I think: my bones for doll bones. *g*
With luck, I can get back to the Slap-n-Tickle this afternoon and grab some shots of Apryl’s work to share. It was beyond lovely…
