t minus 42 hours

Last week, I cut two medium size pieces when I realized that I still had no images selected for the boards. Prior to that, I messed up one of the small pieces. Aside from that, of the remaining forty pieces, one piece will not be finished for the show.

I am totally okay with that.

As it stands, all but five pieces are hung over at the Slap-n-Tickle. Apryl will finished setting the lighting tomorrow night. The remaining details and finishing work will get done Friday without leaving me hectic to do so.

I am incredibly happy. Oh! Did I mention: I already sold a piece! (Yay!) Wednesday is Girl’s Night. The name is a misnomer, anyone of the circle and their guests are welcome, but the pot luck dinner occasion was started by a group of women in the local art community. Apryl hosted and we all got to hang out while I finished hanging the show…

Mr. Big & Beautiful joined me and met the group, since he has to work this weekend.

I have Friday off from work, so only tomorrow left on the work week. Thursday evening is blocked in for frosting sugar cookies for the opening to-do.

Friday, I have to get food, finish and hang five pieces (just very light detail work), get raffle tickets, set the food table, shower, fix food and get dressed.

I am incredibly happy with how closely I stayed to schedule. Sure, I would have liked to be a few days ahead of where I am, but I haven’t felt frantic through any of it.
