Okay, alright. Not nearly as many bionic implants, so I am sure it was much more affordable…
My dad had his knee replacement surgery Saturday morning.
Early signs point to a great success, although when I spoke to him he was still doped on morphine, so of course everything was great! The only real concern is a limited range of moment in one of the new joints, but it is the leg that Dad busted his femur in two places last year. He hasn’t had much movement on that leg since. The doctor seems certain the short range of motion is due to loss of flexibility and muscle from disuse and seems to think it will be temporary.
I fly home for the new (to me) car in a few weeks. It’s doubtful that he will be home yet, so I will try to squeeze in a trip to see him. I will only be home for half a day before driving back to KCMO. It will be hurried and hectic, but, then, it is my family; it is what we do when together…
And yes! Absolutely!
I have every plan to make *tchew* *tchew* *tchew* noises every time I see Dad move around…
Just like Steve Austin.
Everyone needs a theme song for their life, but sound effects are every bit as important.
