Question: How many piercings (past and present) have you had/have (please list)?
Answer: In chronological order:
- circa 1998 – both nipples pierced by my mentor and owner of Tuff Stuff Leatherware in Phoenix, Arizona; originally 14 gauge, eventually stretched to 8 gauge sometime around 2003, I think.
- may 2000 – septum pierced @ IML in Chicago by a piercer with Gotham out of SF; originally 10 gauge and still remains at 10 gauge. (I have too much invested in jewelry to stretch it…) I should note: my septum was pierced twice before this but only left in for a day; once for going through crooked and once for the piercing rejecting from my body.
- may 2002 – prince albert pierced @ IML, also by Gotham out of SF; iriginally pierced with a 10 gauge needle and stretched immediately to an 8 gauge. By 2004, it was a 4 gauge. After chemotherapy, I stretched it to a 2 gauge, wearing a titanium circular barbell.
In February of 2004, I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. I began chemotherapy and was told I had to remove all jewelry. It upset me incredibly. I felt I had to ripped out a part of me and set it aside; not a pleasent feeling to bring into such an ordeal. During treatment, one of my nipple piercing was infected and it encapsulated, necessitating a cut-and-drain. The piercing was closed by the end of treatment and I had no wish to replace only one, so I left them both out.
Over the next year or two, my prince albert slowly began to grow out, so I removed the jewelry. The piercing is still there, but I wear nothing in it.
- january 2005 – labret piercing by Jeremy @ Freaks on 39th here in KCMO; originally pierced at a 12 gauge, I just stretched it last night to the 10 gauge ring in the icon of this post. I swear by Jeremy and refer anyone that asks me for a local piercer. And he has no gay or HIV phobias, which is a beautiful exception to many places in these here parts.
To summarize: I only have two remaining piercings with jewelry in them, the septum and the labret.
To move into the future…? I would like to do both earlobes, getting them up to about a three quarter to one inch diameter plug/eyelet. I would like to consider a second septum piercing, just behind the current one; I have this image in my head of wearing the four ink spike up front adn the curled bar behind, so it can curl around the spike. That would be ossum. I have been considering the pa; I would like to re-pierce it further down the shaft. The opening of my urethra is large enough that I should be able to do that and pierce through the head of the dick and make an apadravya using the existing hole on the underside of the shaft.
But all future things hinge on my health and numbers, which haven’t been so great lately.
