why kansas?
To resolve any confusion, I live in KCMO, even though KCK is a mere couple of blocks from my studio.
But as to why KCMO?
I met my ex-lover in 2001 while I was vending in the market place at IML in Chicago. We dated long distance for just about a year, then I moved to KCMO when he found a house he could afford. Although I had good things develop in those following years and I met some great people, it wasn’t the healthiest of relationships for me. After every possible effort to reinvent our relationship to each other, I moved out and into the studio in April of 2006.
It has been a struggle, but I am beginning to discover the joys that can be had living in KCMO.
I plan to be here as long as I have debt to resolve, perhaps further, but I will decide that then.
