The Catching Up…

I just got in from St Louis, the last leg of the whirl-wind Thanksgiving Tour.

The week was incredible! Much of the trip has already been highlighted. Check those posts over the last week or so directly…

From Cloumbus, after the fantastic lunch with <champdaddy>, I drove to Louisville. A nice evening was had with my other sister and her family. A dinner in with the four of them, getting to here all the new school drama and who is dating whom from my two nieces, age 13 and soon to be 11…

After they all headed for bed, I headed downtown to my regular spot, Tryangles. It was a Monday. It was the dullest time I have ever had there, but I would chalk that up to me. I was stand-offish and rather content to stay isolated. I dumped some bills in the touch screen game and had a few Rolling Rocks.

Tuesday started pretty immediately with a call to <arthole>. We headed to a late breakfast at a place called Lynn’s Paradise Cafe. Think Gourmet Denny’s meets Alice in Wonderful. I had a mimosa and Jeb a bloody mary with some massive spikes of antipasto-type garnishes. I ordered the crunchy cakes, whole wheat pancakes with oats and nuts and granola. Jeb had these awesome looking smothered cottage fries or some such. I don’t remember the name of the dish…

It was fabulous! And I do not use the F-word lightly! (Shout out to kumazuki)

Too much food of course, but the conversation was great and I have never really spent time in that section of the city before… Afterward, I followed Jeb home to hang out for the day and get the home-tour. His neighborhood remains me a lot of mid-town here in KCMO, but the house shapes are just a tad different. Hung in his studio, got to listen to some of his music, watch some of his most excellent pr0n… more conversation, exploring, heavy petting, heavy breathing… Wait! What? Was that the outside voice? I even got to meet digibob when he stopped home during lunch. Woof! Another sexy man!

My trip was simply packed to the brim with them. Yay! for me.

Yesterday, I travelled from Louisville to St. Louis to once again visit Bud. I stopped in at the bar where he works, but this time took the offer to follow his housemate, Don, home and wait for Bud at his place. I was exhausted! Completely. Exhausted. Being a pig over a three state area is hard work. Today we ran some errands and decorated Bud’s tree. It looked great was we were finished.

The weather here in KCMO has officially turned to shit. First ice storm of the season. I didn’t think they normally showed up until January or February. I am glad I stayed most the day in St Louis. I didn’t have many slick spots at all on the way. The storm I passed was still warm enough to not be freezing the lanes on the highway… but the closer I got into KCMO, the more and more and more cars were stuck in the ditches on either side of the highway…

That’s all for now, but a few more topics will be up soon enough, including the details of my trip to Flex-Cleveland…
